€270 million Luxembourg Future Fund 3 officially launched
Over a decade after its debut, the SNCI and the EIF have expanded their partnership with the launch of the €270 million Luxembourg Future Fund 3 (€180M from SNCI, €90M from EIF) to drive national economic diversification.

Operating as a fund-of-funds, LFF 3 will help broaden access to financing for start-ups, scale-ups and SMEs. Flexible throughout the companies’ development cycle, the Programme will be able to invest in venture capital, private equity and private debt funds.
Strategically, LFF 3 will target specialised or multi-sector funds focusing on high-growth sectors that are essential to the country’s future, including cybertech, deeptech, fintech, healthtech, proptech, spacetech, greentech and cleantech, as well as the transport sector.
In line with the SNCI’s core mission, LFF 3 will combine financial performance objectives with objectives related to the creation of local economic substance in order to strengthen the national ecosystem. The Programme is primarily intended to support investment funds established in Luxembourg whose investment teams are already fully or partly based in the Grand Duchy, or that commit to establishing a presence there.
Building on a long-standing and successful partnership with the EIF, this third edition also marks a major evolution in the operating model of this cooperation. While the EIF fully managed the first two programmes, the SNCI is now taking a decisive step by participating directly in the investment process and investing in its own name. This development will enable the bank to strengthen its direct relationships with market participants while continuing to benefit from the EIF’s institutional expertise throughout the investment cycle.

By mobilising investment in high-growth sectors, we want to anchor innovative activities, expertise and highly skilled jobs in Luxembourg, thereby creating genuine economic substance and lasting value for our country,” said Lex Delles, Minister for the Economy, SMEs, Energy and Tourism.

This continuity, together with the State’s support for all three editions of the Luxembourg Future Fund, makes an important contribution to innovation, competitiveness and business growth in the country,” stated Robert de Groot, Vice-President of the European Investment Bank Group.
