As the European Startup Prize for Mobility, Europe’s largest acceleration and investment readiness programme for smart and clean mobility startups, enters its 7th edition, Luxembourg takes an active role in supporting founders and investors who aim to shape the future of sustainable mobility. With Luxinnovation and Technoport acting as partners of the programme, the new edition launches in Lisbon on 14 April 2026, when applications open for companies developing solutions that contribute to Europe’s green and digital transition.

A platform that accelerates Europe’s most promising mobility innovators

The European Startup Prize for Mobility brings together leading European institutions and industry partners to highlight emerging talent in smart and sustainable mobility. Each year, it selects high-potential startups from across the continent and offers them visibility within a network of investors, corporates and policymakers. Over its previous editions, the initiative has helped more than 100 companies scale their solutions, access new markets and contribute to the evolution of Europe’s mobility landscape.

Selected startups follow a six-month journey focused on strengthening their business model, accessing markets and connecting with investors and public stakeholders. This edition will conclude during Luxembourg Venture Days in October 2026, further underlining Luxembourg’s continued commitment to supporting European mobility innovation.

Luxembourg strengthens role in mobility innovation

The panel “What Europe can do for you: how public actors enable mobility innovation” illustrates how collaboration supports startups as they grow. Luxembourg is represented by Mickael Borger, Startup Advisor at Startup Luxembourg, and Erez Arye, Head of the Automobility Incubator at Technoport Luxembourg, who will share their experience in guiding founders and advancing next generation mobility technologies.

Their involvement reflects the strength of Luxembourg’s innovation landscape, which brings together public and private actors, offers cross-border access and provides real-world testing conditions for new technologies. Combined, these elements create a vibrant environment where mobility innovators can thrive.

Hosting the award ceremony and live pitches for the European Startup Prize for Mobility at Luxembourg Venture Days is a major highlight for us this year. Together with Technoport, we are creating a powerful opportunity for Europe’s top mobility startups to connect directly with the investors and corporate leaders who can accelerate their growth. This collaboration perfectly illustrates Luxembourg’s role as a dynamic and supportive hub for launching sustainable technologies in Europe.
