How to get the most out of Luxembourg Venture Days
With five major hosted events running alongside the main agenda, Luxembourg Venture Days fits many opportunities in just two days. Here's a practical guide on how to get the most out of it.
Taking place on 14 to15 October 2026 at Luxexpo The Box, Luxembourg Venture Days is co-organised by Luxinnovation and the Luxembourg Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (LPEA). It serves as a premier European meeting point, connecting private capital, major corporates, and high-growth startups through curated dealflow and structured networking.
Last year's edition drew around 3,400 participants, including 330+ investors and 100+ VC funds. The 2026 programme features five major hosted events alongside the main programme, ranging from LPEA Insights conference to a first-ever Defence Investment Forum.
Here is your practical guide to navigating the event smoothly.
1. Before you arrive, define your goals
The 2026 programme spans a wide spectrum of sectors: fintech, cleantech, defence, deep tech, cybersecurity, space, smart mobility and healthtech. With so much ground covered, it is easy to spread yourself thin.
Ask yourself, are you looking to raise capital? To scout deals in a specific sector? To find co-investment partners? Pick two or three concrete outcomes and build your two days around them
2. Know the five hosted events
Luxembourg Venture Days features five major hosted events and several parallel tracks across both days. Some of these events require separate registration. Some take place on one or both days. Get to know them in advance:
- LPEA Insights conference, taking place on 14 October, is a major private equity and venture capital gathering.
- European Angel Investment Summit, running 14-15 October, connects angels, VCs, startups and EU institutions.
- European Startup Prize for Mobility award ceremony takes place on 14 October.
- Fit 4 Start Pitch Days, running 14-15 October, brings a select group of startups to pitch out of a record pool of 556 applications.
- Defence Investment Forum, on 14 October, is a first-ever forum focused on mobilising capital for Europe's next generation of defence and dual-use technologies.
Depending on your focus, one of these may be more relevant to your goals. Check which ones align with your sector or strategy and build them into your schedule deliberately.
3. Get the official app before you arrive
Luxinnovation just introduced the dedicated Luxembourg Venture Days event app, and it's worth downloading before you arrive rather than on-site. The app provides an easy way to browse the full agenda across the main programme and give you access to view the five partner events agenda, bookmark the sessions and panels you don't want to miss, and use the dedicated business matchmaking platform to organise meetings with investors and/or founders ahead of time.
4. Prepare for the business discussions ahead of the event
Take a moment to check your notifications for feedback and to confirm the time and details with the other person in the chat box. This helps avoid missed connections and opportunities slipping through the cracks. When you agree on a time and place, it means you can arrive knowing exactly who you’re meeting, where and when.
5. Have a version of your pitch ready for every length
You won't always get the ten-minute slot. Have a 30-second version, a 2-minute version and a 10-minute version of what you do, why it matters and what you need so you're never caught flat when a conversation turns into an opportunity mid-hallway.
6. Follow up within 48 hours
An event this size generates a lot of contacts that require fast follow-up to stay memorable. Send a specific, personalised message referencing what you discussed, not a generic "great meeting you” while the conversation is still fresh for the other person too.
7. Leverage the event’s international scale
Luxembourg's position as a leading global cross-border investment hub attracts serious players. Roughly 35% of Luxembourg Venture Days attendees come from abroad. That's a shortcut to relationships and deal opportunities you'd otherwise need a dozen separate trips to build. For founders, that means investor access well beyond the local market. For investors, it means dealflow and co-investment partners from different regions and a chance to build the kind of cross-border network that normally takes years of separate trips to piece together.
Of course, none of the above matters if you haven't secured your spot yet.
